A pivotable blade hair clipper and suction collection system having a hair clipper with a handle drive end portion integrally formed to receive a blade assembly pivotable about a stationary axis into at least two cutting positions. The form of the blade assembly functions to enhance an aerodynamic relationship with a suction air channel that extends internally from one end of the clipper handle to the other and allows for the evacuation of clipped hair debris. The clipper unit is integrally designed to allow for the passage of suctioned air and clipped hair debris from the cutting portion of the blade assembly, then through the clipper unit, and then through a highly flexible suction hose into a personal size vacuum hair collection canister for clean and hygienic collection of clipped hair debris. The two cutting positions combine with the form of the blade assembly to create optimum angles for cutting either hair from the head or hair from other body parts such as the chest and back. Furthermore, the two cutting positions combine with their respective length gauging comb accessories for conventionally combing hair into the blade path or for rolling hair into the blade path, which rolling motion requires very little work space and can be accomplished over surfaces of the body previously difficult to attend with conventionally comb-shaped attachments. Additionally, safety features integrally a part of the pivotable blade hair clipper and suction collection system include safety venting in the clipper handle, variable motor switch functions in the suction collection system, plus a rod-like extension attachment providing the clipper handle with extensible reach for readily and safely accessing hard-to-reach body parts such as the back, plus reduction of external cording by placement of electrical wiring as internally hidden within the length of suction hose connecting the clipper handle to the suction collection system.
