RIDING-ON/OFF SUPPORT DEVICE FOR ELEVATOR ALSO SERVING AS WHEELCHAIR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure safe riding-on/off by a wheel chair user and prevent wrong operation of the wheelchair.

SOLUTION: This riding on/off support device of an elevator also serving as a wheelchair determines riding-on by the wheelchair user on the basis of operation outputs from a load sensor 4 and a monitor camera 5 installed at the landing and switches the elevator to the wheelchair operation mode when the wheelchair user 1 operates a wheelchair-specific operation board 3 of the landing 2.
