A method of joining ends of pipe-shaped articles by laser welding. Ends of the pipe-shaped articles formed of resin members are brought into direct contact with each other; or the ends are abutted to each other through a flange formed of a resin member; or the ends are inserted into a joint formed of a resin member. In the above, a laser absorption material is provided between the ends of the pipe-shaped articles, or between the ends and the flange, or between the ends and the joint; or at least one of the ends, or the flange, or the joint is formed of a resin member having transmission capability for laser light; or at least one of the ends, or the flange, or the joint, or the laser absorption material is formed of a resin member having absorbability for laser light. For welding, laser light is irradiated to the portions where the ends, the flange, the joint, and the laser absorption materials are in contact with each other. |
