PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an entrance upper plate 10 for an elevator allowing easy inspection work without impairing appearance. SOLUTION: This entrance upper plate 10 comprises a part constituting an entrance ceiling of a car 1 of the elevator, and a part rising from an end edge inside the car 1 of the entrance ceiling part and constituting a wall face. The wall face part is divided into an upper wall 9 above a display part 11 and a lower wall 8 including the display part 11. The upper wall 9 is installed and fixed to a car side member. By swingably pivotally mounting the upper end of the lower wall 8 to the car side member and swinging the lower wall 8 to the inside of the car 1 together with the entrance ceiling part, the entrance ceiling part is opened and closed, and the lower wall 8 is locked to the car side member in a closed state.
