Throttle device for an internal combustion engine, comprising at least one throttle plate (1) for controlling the flow of a medium through an inlet passage into a combustion chamber, and at least one slide bearing (7,21,22) rotatably supporting said throttle plate (1) at said inlet passage, said slide bearing (7,21,22) comprising an outer portion and an inner portion, the outer and the inner portions being rotatably attached to each other, the inner portion of said slide bearing (7,21,22) being formed by an essentially cylindrical surface at a first end portion (2) of said throttle plate (1), and a method for assembling a throttle device for an internal combustion engine, comprising the steps of: a) attaching an outer portion of said slide bearing (7,21,22) onto an essentially cylindrical surface acting as an inner portion of said slide bearing (7,21,22) at a first end portion (2) of said throttle plate (1), b) sliding said throttle plate (1) onto the shaft (8) by engaging an inner surface of a hole (5) through the throttle plate (1) to an outer surface of said shaft (8), c) mounting the throttle device (13) in the engine. <IMAGE> |
