PURPOSE: A forward dimming control circuit of an inverter is provided to select a dimming direction of an inverter by using a linear region of a transistor. CONSTITUTION: An inverter includes an amplifier(11), a distributive resistor, and a driving IC(12). The amplifier(11) is used for outputting a voltage corresponding to a dimming control signal if the dimming control signal is received from a dimming control signal input terminal. The distributive resistor is used for adding an output voltage of the amplifier(11) to a reference voltage and distributing the added voltage. The driving IC(12) is used for controlling the brightness of a cold cathode fluorescent lamp. A forward dimming control circuit(100) of an inverter is installed between a dimming control signal and a non-inversion terminal of the amplifier(11) in order to be switched according to a voltage level of the dimming control signal.
