PURPOSE: A device for displaying a time varying code in a portable terminal device is provided to supply time varying codes whose patterns are changed by time, and to store more information, thereby continuously increasing visual security. CONSTITUTION: A display(703) visually displays various processing situations or operating states of a reader, and performs a function of visually presenting time varying codes for authentication. A controller(705) controls all functions for displaying the time varying codes. A memory(707) stores data related to the time varying codes. An input unit(709) inputs a predetermined command from a user to the reader. A power unit(711) supplies power. A communication unit(713) transmits bar code information to a server, and receives an approval signal. A connector(715) inputs coded information corresponding to the time varying codes to the reader. A reading unit(701) recognizes the time varying codes, and converts an inputted analog signal into a digital signal.
