METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CHANGING COLOR TEMPERATURE OF COMPRESSED IMAGE

PURPOSE: A method and system for changing a color temperature of a compressed image are provided to reduce the number of pixels in the event of color temperature estimation and improve color temperature estimation processing speed. CONSTITUTION: A color temperature conversion system estimates a color temperature of a compressed image and changes the color temperature. The system includes a DC image extraction unit(11) and a color temperature estimation unit(12). The DC image extraction unit receives a compressed image that is obtained by discrete-cosine-transforming the original image, extracts DC coefficient values of blocks of the compressed image, and takes the DC coefficient values as a single pixel value to generate a DC image composed of the pixel values. The color temperature estimation unit estimates a color temperature of the compressed image from the DC image.
