PURPOSE: Provided is a method for effectively transforming a Taxus cuspidata cell line by using Agrobacterium, thereby increasing transformation efficiency of plants more than two times and expressing a transformed gene stably to improve the production the second metabolites, such as paclitaxel. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: pre-treating plant cells chemically and physically; co-culturing Agrobacterium transformed with a recombinant plasmid and plant cells in a medium of pH 5.0-5.6 containing pathogens, for 1-4 days; washing the culture then followed by removing Agrobacterium and culturing the plant cells in a selection medium; and selecting a tissue growing well to obtain a cell line which expresses a foreign gene stably.
