PREPARATION METHOD OF ELECTRODE FOR LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY AND LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY USING THE ELECTRODE

PURPOSE: A method for preparing an electrode for a lithium secondary battery and a lithium secondary battery using the electrode are provided, to improve the capacity characteristics of the battery. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of mixing a natural graphite material, a binder and a dispersion medium to prepare an electrode material; and coating the electrode material on a current collector and drying it. Preferably the natural graphite material has a distance between faces (d002) of 3.379 Angstrom, a FWHM of a peak to the distance of 0.44 degree (2theta), and 2theta values of a low part and a high part of 26.05 degree and 26.49 degree which correspond to the distance between faces of 3.418 Angstrom and 3.362 Angstrom, respectively. The lithium secondary battery comprises a negative electrode of the electrode prepared by the method.
