<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix type organic electroluminescent element of high resolution and high opening rate structure, with an improved production turnover. <P>SOLUTION: An array element 120 and an organic electroluminescent diode element E are configured on substrates 110 and 130, respectively. After an inspection process for each substrate, the array element and the organic electroluminescent diode element are connected with a conductive material layer 114.
