PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base for a bulb in which the quantity of solder can be reduced at the connection of the top part of the base.

SOLUTION: This is the base for the bulb, which is made of a base shell 1, an eyelet supporting insulating body 2 fixed to the top end of the base shell 1, and an eyelet fitting fixed to the eyelet supporting insulating body 2 forming insulation relationship with the base shell 1. At least one direction of the eyelet contact plate is formed by extension from the plate end part 3a introducing wire insertion hole.
