<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording technique whereby a time-out at a host is prevented without changing an apparatus configuration, and receiving data by the apparatus can be controlled efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: A recorder 1 has a serial interface circuit 2 for receiving data from the host, and a DMA request signal generating circuit 5 and a DMA mediation circuit & memory controller 6 for transferring the received data to a receiving buffer. A CPU 3 of the recorder 1 detects a state of the recorder 1, and delays a data transfer timing of the receiving buffer 4a from the serial interface circuit 2 on the basis of the judgement result, thereby controlling to transmit a control signal for controlling a data reception timing from the host to the host. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
