OPTICAL INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME, AND INITIALIZER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an initialization method and initializer for an optical information recording medium capable of rapidly initializing the multilayered recording medium having a plurality of recording layers.

SOLUTION: The optical information recording medium (1) which has a plurality of recording layers (3 and 5) and is smaller in the reflectivity in an uninitialized state for an initializing light beam of at least one recording recording layer among a plurality of the recording layers (3 and 5) than the reflectivity after the initialization is formed by first irradiating the recording layer (5) on the deeper side viewed from the side irradiated with the light beam and irradiating the recording layer (3) on the near side afterward to simultaneously initialize the recording layers, by which the optical recording medium (1) absent of the initialization unevenness in the initialized recording layers (3 and 5) is obtained. This initialization method comprises irradiating first the recording layer (5) on the deeper side viewed from the side irradiated with the light beam among a plurality of the recording layers with the light beam in the positions of the same distance viewed from the radial direction on the optical recording medium.
