<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high pressure ball poppet control valve with high-pressure or a plurality of-pressures flow control. <P>SOLUTION: The control valve for operating a fluid operated device comprises a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, and a passage fluid-communicating between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet for defining a longitudinal axis. A valve seat arranged in the passage contains an upstream diameter and a downstream diameter, the downstream diameter being smaller than the upstream diameter. A ball poppet can be positioned at a place in seating line contact with the valve seat. The valve seat has an angle to a center line of the longitudinal axis, which is greater than an angle formed between the center line and a line in contact with the ball poppet at the seating line contact place. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
