METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DISPLAYING STATIC IMAGE BY USING SPACE DISPLACEMENT SAMPLING TOGETHER WITH SEMANTIC DATA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clarify an image form in low-resolution display by utilizing metadata holding semantic information relating to an image to display an image of static version on a display device which has pixels consisting of individually controllable pixel sub-components, with sub-pixel precision.

SOLUTION: The image of static version can be displayed on a display device having a relatively low resolution while holding localization of sub-pixel precision. The image is displayed on a display device having individually controllable pixel sub-components. Localization of sub-pixel precision is performed by mapping a set of spatially different samples to not a full pixel but individual pixel sub-components, and thus an image form of an edge of a character or the like is not displayed on a boundary between full pixels but is always displayed on a boundary between pixel sub-components.
