PREPARATION OF VASCULAR ENDOTHELIAL CELL GROWTH FACTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for production of wound treating agents having a mitogenicity to vascular endothelial cells accordingly useful for promotion of vascularization (vasculogenesis) and production of endodermis of intravascular surface, and to provide a method for production of the vascular endothelial cell growth factor by a recombinant DNA technology.

SOLUTION: The method which produces an isolated DNA encoding the vascular endothelial cell growth factor of a mammal and the vascuar endothelial cell growth factor, comprises (a) a step culturing cells transformed by an expressing vector containing a DNA sequence encoding the amino acid sequence of a polypeptide chain of the vascular endothelial cell in a condition in which the polypeptide is expressed, (b) a step collecting the expressed polypeptide and (c) a step forming a disulfide link on the polypeptide chain.
