<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multipiece solid golf ball which is excellent in flying performance, spin characteristics, feelings of a wood shot, an iron shot and a patter shot, burr resistance, and durability. <P>SOLUTION: This multipiece solid golf ball having a solid core and two layers, internal and external, cover the solid core is characterized in that: deformation is set at 1.1 mm or more when a load of 30 kg is imposed on the solid core; the Shore D hardness of the internal layer cover is set at 45-61; the Shore D hardness of the external layer cover is set at 33-55; and the total sum of a dimple ballistic volume, which is obtained by multiplying a dimple volume by the square root of a dimple diameter, is set at 530-750.
