PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device state monitor system suitable for improvement of security of a device when monitoring a device state via a network. SOLUTION: A home gateway transmits a provision request to a device management server, transmits the provision request to a device monitor server on the basis of received address information when receiving the address information, and executes a device state information notification process and a device state information acquisition process on the basis of a received monitor module when receiving the monitor module. When the device management server receives the provision request, the device management server specifies the device monitor server of a user belonging to the same group as a group of a user of the home gateway or a related group, and transmits the address information of the specified device monitor server to the home gateway.
