<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image converting device for converting an interlace video signal into a stable progressive video signal with high resolution by executing accurate movement judgement. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of interface video signals corresponding to a plurality of continuous fields are generated by a plurality of first, second, and third one field delay circuits 1, 2, and 3 based on an inputted interface video signal V1. Then, a progressive video field signal P1 is generated by a first progressive video generating circuit 4 based on a plurality of interface video signals. A progressive video field signal P2 is generated by a second progressive video generating circuit 5 based on a plurality of interface video signals. Then, movement amount information M of the vertical direction of an image is calculated by a comparator circuit 6 based on the first progressive video field signal P1 and the second progressive video field signal P2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
