<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for judging the relative development risk of diabetes. <P>SOLUTION: The method for judging the development risk of diabetes comprises detecting genetic polymorphism existing on one or more positions selected from nucleotides at the 36th of first intron on GFAT1 gene, at the 7th of intron 11, at -147th of 12 intron, at 1853th to 1877th of intron 8, at 1988th to 2007th of 12 intron, at -11th to -22th of intron 18, at 2632th to 2661th of intron 3 and at 66th of exon 18 of GFTA2 gene or a haplotype comprising its combination from a specimen containing a human genome DNA. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
