<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To modify a well known conduit so that an annular gap can quickly be exhausted even if the conduit is longer than 100 m. <P>SOLUTION: The conduit serves as transporting cable for a medium cooled down to low temperature, particularly a superconductive cable conduit composed of at least two concentrically spaced metallic pipes. The annular gap between the pipes has an insulation layer disposed therein and is exhausted. The outside metallic pipe (4) has openings at predetermined intervals. Pipes (10) for connecting a pump are welded to the metallic pipe (4) above the respective openings so as to be airtight. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
