METHOD FOR COATING ZEOLITE CRYSTAL, SUBSTRATE COATED THEREWITH, PRODUCTION METHOD FOR ZEOLITE MEMBRANE, ZEOLITE MEMBRANE, AND SEPARATION METHOD USING THE MEMBRANE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for coating an orientation-controlled zeolite crystal on a substrate regardless of the type thereof, to provide the substrate having the particle layer of the zeolite crystal controlled in orientation, and also to provide a zeolite membrane with both selectivity and flux characteristic. SOLUTION: The substrate having the zeolite crystal particle layer controlled in orientation can be obtained by performing the operations of: (1) using a zeolite crystal dispersion of pH 11 or more; (2) coating in an environment of the temperature of 30°C or higher; and (3) applying ultrasonic vibration. Further, the zeolite membrane having both selectivity and flux characteristic can be obtained by using the above substrate. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
