PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid titanium catalyst component for olefin polymerization having high activity and giving an olefin (co)polymer having high stereospecificity, an olefin polymerization catalyst containing the component and an olefin polymerization method. SOLUTION: The solid titanium catalyst component (S) containing titanium, magnesium, a halogen and an electron donor (b) is produced either by (A) contacting a solid addition product of a magnesium compound and an electron donor (a), another electron donor (b) and a liquid titanium compound in the presence of an inert hydrocarbon solvent in suspended state or by (B) contacting the above components in several separated steps. The olefin polymerization catalyst contains the solid titanium catalyst component (S) and an organic metal compound catalyst component (M) containing a metal selected from the group I to group III elements of the periodic table.
