PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cloth cutting device having a structure to be easily fitted to a sewing machine and having improved adaptability to the sewing machine. SOLUTION: The cloth cutting device 1 for the sewing machine cuts cloth to be sewn by a sewing machine 10 along a direction of feeding by a feeding mechanism 13 of the sewing machine. The cloth cutting device 1 is provided with a linking pole 50 mounted to be movable between a storage position and a use position with respect to the sewing machine 10, and the top side of the linking pole 50 is equipped with a cloth presser plate 2 for pressing the cloth with the cloth feeding mechanism 13. Then, the cloth presser part 2 is provided with a fixed blade for cutting the cloth, a movable blade provided to be vertically movable with respect to the fixed blade, and a mounting part 20 for mounting onto the sewing machine at the use position. Then, the mounting part 20 is structured to be removably mounted onto an attachment 60 which is provided on a presser bar 6 of the sewing machine 10 for mounting a cloth presser metal fitting in place of the cloth presser metal fitting.
