PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anticorrosive coating structure for a magnesium metal showing an excellent durability by sufficiently bonding an anodic oxide film and a substrate, i.e. the magnesium metal at their interface. SOLUTION: The anticorrosive coating structure, wherein a silane-modified resin layer is attached on the surface of the magnesium metal, is obtained by coating the surface of the magnesium metal with an oxide layer formed through anodic oxidation, applying the silane-modified resin layer containing 0.1-2 pts.wt. alkoxysilane against 1 pts.wt. resin comprising an acrylic resin or an epoxy resin over this oxide layer and infiltrating the silane-modified resin through pores penetrating the oxide layer to the surface of the magnesium metal. Once reaching the surface of the magnesium metal, the silane-modified resin directly adheres and binds to the magnesium metal and bonds the oxide layer to the magnesium metal. Therefore, multiple anticorrosive coating layers become united and tightly fixed onto the surface of the magnesium metal. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
