Improved method of prepn. for cpds. of general formula (I): n = 0 - 3 Y = Hal, OH, alkyl, haloalkyl, O alkyl, or NO2. X and X1 = Hal, alkyl, haloalkyl, NO2, CN, O-haloalkyl, or S-haloalkyl. Q = O or S Anthelmintics, esp. active vs. Fasciola hepatica and F. gigantica. 2-Chloro-4-(m-trifluoromethylphenoxy) benzene-diazonium fluoroborate (3.86 g.), was added (2 h.) to 2-hydroxy-3, 5-di-iodobenzonitrile (3.71 g.) in dioxan (30 ml.) at 65 deg.-75 deg., heated 30 min. at 70 deg., dild. with H2O (30 ml.), stood 17 h., filtered, washed, and recryst. from EtOH, giving (I), m.p. 127-9 deg. |
