PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic emulsion capable of improving the sensitivity, image quality and processing dependence of a silver halide photographic sensitive material. SOLUTION: The silver halide photographic emulsion contains silver iodobromide or silver chloroiodobromide tabular grains having <0.13μm thickness and≥1.0μm equivalent circular diameter by≥50% of the total number of all grains, wherein the silver iodide content of each fringe interior (region A) surrounded by twin faces and grain principal surfaces is higher than that of each fringe interior (region B) surrounded by two twin faces.
