PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mop device for a mason appropriate to a final work of a tiling operation by simplifying treating and manipulation with quite a simple configuration of the mop device. SOLUTION: A mop device 10 for using in the final work of the tiling operation comprises a rod 13 being laid at the forward part of an upper opening of a bucket 11, a shaft 15 with a fixed distance from the rod 13, the bucket 11 attaching a drainboard 14 slidably to the shaft 15; and a sponge mop 20 attaching a sponge 17 to a holding board 18 and attaching a handle 19 to the holding board 18. The gravity of the drainboard 14 is positioned forward from the shaft 15 to make the forward part of the drainboard 14 be moved down under its own weight, and the shaft 15 is placed lower than the rod 13.
