A fuel battery comprising a porous material section (32) formed in a separator, and a cooling gas passageway (33) formed in the back of the reaction gas passageway in the porous section. The cooling gas passageway (3 3) is connected to a feed flow channel for a reaction gas to be fed to the fuel battery in the downstream region. The cooling gas flow channel (33) is capab le of flow rate control. The porous section (32) is formed only in the separato r portion where the downstream section of the reaction gas flow channel (27, 2 8) exists. A refrigerant flow channel (26) is formed in the separator portion where the upstream section of the reaction gas flow channel (27, 28) is positioned. The porosity of the hill top or of the hill top and hill foot is high. The groove may be filled with a porous material (49). The porous material section may be a moisture exchange section (32~). Other region than the porous material section may have the reaction gas flow channel formed of a porous material (51). Thereby, a fuel battery is provided that is capable of improving deliverability of produced water, reusing the produced water for humidification, and uniformly discharging the produced water. |
