PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for correcting a device supported by a monitoring system using a system support data base. SOLUTION: Specifically, this method correcting a device monitored and supported by a monitoring system has a step of updating information stored in a system support database (SSD) if the information stored in SSD is not enough to support the monitored device.This updating step is performed without re-programming the monitoring system, which provides flexibility when correcting the device monitored and supported by the monitoring system.
