<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for adjusting an optical separating device for a stereoscopic video display device by which the relative position of an optical separating means to a display panel is easily adjusted. <P>SOLUTION: The method for adjusting the stereoscopic video display device is equipped with a liquid crystal display panel for displaying the video consisting of a plurality of visual points and the optical separating device for separating video light from the liquid crystal display panel as the video light from a pair of visual points corresponding to the right and left eyes. By displaying 1st and 2nd pictures on the liquid crystal display panel, an observer recognizes the state of the optical separating device from relation between the 1st and the 2nd specified pictures and interference fringe caused between the liquid crystal display panel and the optical separating device from a position at a distance of 1/2 of an optimum observation position, and adjusts the state of the optical separating device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
