<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a fine adjustment of a print range possible and to include a concerned area in a medical image within the print range when printing out the medical image onto a recording medium such as a film. <P>SOLUTION: In the case of printing out an image by a printer with no magnification, when the size of the image is greater than the size of the film which is a print-out destination, trimming is performed for cutting out, as a print range, an image area corresponding to the size of the film out of the image. In this case, a controller displays an adjustment picture 4 on a display part. On the adjustment picture 4, a trimming frame W displayed on an image G is moved in accordance with an instruction from an input part to adjust the print range, thereby setting the print range.
