<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lighten the burden on a user, to improve usability, and to enables speedy processing even when there are many unfixed-size forms where black-and-white images are to be formed by eliminating the need for a conventional troublesome operation for inputting the length and width of an unfixed-size form when a black-and-white image is formed on the unfixed-size form. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with an operation part 219 which displays a picture for specifying an automatic color selection mode, color mode, or black-and-white mode, making a choice between a fixed-size form and an unfixed-side form, and setting the length and width of the unfixed-size form and a main body control part 200 which makes settings of the length and width of the unfixed-size form effective when the unfixed-size form is selected and the color mode is specified and ineffective when the unfixed-size form is selected and the black-and-white mode is specified. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
