The plug socket comprises any arbitrary contacts of various types and shape which can be fitted inside and outside of plug socket for current conduction. The plastics clad contact are typically fitted in guide rails of plug socket. On pushing home the plug connector the contact faces are pressed outwards, via compression springs, or a spring steel strip, into socket inside. Thus they contact two further contact faces inside the socket for current supply to socket.
