<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a transfer material and an image forming apparatus from electrostatically being overcharged in a re-fixation mode wherein a transfer material is passed through a fixing means again for improvement of the transmissivity and image luster of OHT. <P>SOLUTION: A toner image on an intermediate transfer belt 5 is transferred to a transfer material P by a transfer roller 5f and fixed by being heated and pressed by a fixing unit 7 and the transfer material is carried again to the fixing unit 7 through a transfer part in a turned-over state for improvement of the transmissivity of the OHT transfer material. In this case, an electrostatic discharging bias is applied to the transfer material when the transfer material is passed through the transfer part for the second time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
