<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation control device quick in responsiveness, and strong against disturbance. <P>SOLUTION: An electronically controlled mechanical clock is provided with a voltage control oscillator having a generator for generating electric power by a rotor for rotating with a spiral spring as a driving source and a brake circuit for controlling a rotational period of the generator, and a rotation control means for controlling the rotational period of the generator by controlling the brake circuit. The rotation control means is provided with a phase comparing circuit for comparing a rectangular wave pulse being output of the voltage control oscillator with a phase of a time standard signal and a brake control circuit for inputting a signal for controlling the brake circuit on the basis of output of the phase comparing circuit to the voltage control oscillator. By arranging the voltage control oscillator and the phase comparing circuit, PLL control can be realized, and a system quick in responsiveness can be formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
