PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crosstalk free electrophoretic matrix display system by applying voltage to one element each in accordance with display contents. SOLUTION: Electrodes (E1, E2) are provided with: a display device in which one of the electrodes is an overall electrode while the other electrode is a divided electrode to which voltage can be applied separately; and a pair of transistors (Q1, Q2) in which emitters and collectors are cascade-connected, one end is connected to a positive power source and the other end is connected to a negative power source, an output terminal is connected between the two transistors, and diodes (D1, D2) are serially connected to each base in a manner that the conductive direction is different in each transistor. The system is also equipped with a switching circuit (SC) that applies positive or negative voltage to the divided electrode, a first switch (SW1) that connects a positive and negative power sources to the emitters and collectors of the pair of transistors, and a second switch (SW10) that selectively grounds either base of the pair of transistors through the diodes.
