PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause a sealer structure of a top sealer to prevent foreign matters from entering from the structure before sealing a carton due to its position above the carton top to facilitate the replacement of sealing jaws when the angular dimension of the carton is changed. SOLUTION: The top sealer includes a parallel link mechanism L consisting of an arcuate supporting frame 1 placed across a carrying means 10 of a liquid filling and packaging device, a pair of operating link arms 4 and 4 integrally provided at a pair of driving arms 3 and 3 rotatably pivoted on the frame 1 by a driving means 8 so as to be opposed to each other on both sides of the means 10, a pair of auxiliary horizontal link arms 5 and 5, and a pair of horizontal link arms 6 and 6. The respective heat-sealing jaws 7 and 7 are provided at opposite parts where the pair of horizontal link arms horizontally separating from/abutting on each other separate/abut, and the top C3 of a non-sealed paper-made liquid container C is carried to immediately below the opposite portions of the jaws 7.
