A primary detector for breathing exercises in which the breathing rhythm is regulated by signals of the device. The various signals can be acoustic, optical or combined acoustic and optical and the AC signal (WS) is dependent on the parameter signal value (SW), matching value (AW), matching factor (AF) and impulse (I) and thus exchange of one respiration phase to the next is made clear.
