PURPOSE: A vehicle identification number detection control method is provided to easily detect the figure recognition result in detecting information about a vehicle through the vehicle identification number. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle identification number detection control method comprises steps of recognizing figures constituting the identification number(S300); comparing the cipher value of the recognized figure with a reference value(S310); determining whether a vehicle kind corresponding to the recognized identification number is a vehicle kind following a work process(S320); and displaying the result of the figure recognition(S330).
