METHOD FOR ESTIMATING FREQUENCY SYNCHRONIZATION IN DAB SYSTEM AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

PURPOSE: A method for estimating frequency synchronization in a DAB(Digital Audio Broadcasting) system and an apparatus therefor are provided to estimate integer times frequency synchronization by power of an interval in which data information of received phase reference symbol does not exists. CONSTITUTION: A signal processing unit(200) performs the FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) of a phase reference symbol signal of a received signal, and processes the phase reference symbol signal. A window setup unit(210) sets a window with a certain width in the processed phase reference symbol signal. A power calculating unit(220) calculates powers of signals in the set window. A null interval deciding unit(230) decides a window interval having the minimum power among the powers calculated in the power calculating unit(220), and decides a null interval in which data information does not exist in the phase reference symbol signal. A frequency estimating unit(240) estimates the frequency synchronization of the received signal to an end point of the null interval decided in the null interval deciding unit(230).
