PURPOSE: An apparatus for driving a rotating brush of a vacuum cleaner is provided to reduce a cost and a consumption power by forming integrally an impeller to a shaft of a rotating brush to rotate integrally the impeller and the shaft of the rotating brush. CONSTITUTION: A vacuum cleaner comprises a body casing(11) for forming a containing space at an inside of the body casing, a suction pump(13) for generating an absorbing force and a suction head portion(20) coupled to a lower portion of the body casing(11). The suction head portion(20) comprises an absorbing inlet(21) having an absorbing port(29) at a lower portion, and a rotating brush(30) placed to rotate around a center of a rotating shaft. A rotating brush driving apparatus of the vacuum cleaner for driving the rotating brush(30) is installed at one side of the rotating brush(30). The rotating brush driving apparatus comprises an impeller(33) coupled at one side end region of the rotating shaft to rotate integrally and an exhaust guide member(37). One side of the exhaust guide member(37) is coupled at an exhaust port(18) of the body casing(11) to rotate the impeller(33) integrally and the other end thereof is placed at the one side of the impeller(33).
