PURGE DEVICE OF FUEL CELL USING B COMPOUND AS FUEL

PURPOSE: A purge device of a fuel cell using a B compound as fuel is provided, to prevent the clogging of path by the precipitation of compounds and the deterioration of lifetime of a catalyst due to the unnecessary long-term stay of fuel inside of a fuel supply line and stack. CONSTITUTION: The fuel cell(1) supplies the B compound stored in a fuel tank to the anode of stack(10) through a fuel supply line(30), supplies the air to the cathode of stack through an air supply line(50), and obtains the electromotive force from the chemical reaction of the B compound and the air, wherein the purge device comprises a connection line(200) connecting the fuel supply line and the air supply line; and a 3-way diverter valve(201) placed at the point where the connection line and the fuel supply line cross perpendicularly, for changing the flow of fluid to allow the inside of the fuel supply line and the stack to be purged by air if necessary. Preferably the B compound is BH4- in aqueous solution state.
