PURPOSE: A chip forming machining device is provided to decrease or entirely prevent the generation of plastic, permanent deformation or cracks in one or both bodies in the area where a press-fit occurs with the purpose of controlling or locking the bodies in the radial direction in relation to each other. CONSTITUTION: A chip forming machining device has first and second rotatable bodies(1,3) arranged along a common axis of rotation. The first body forms a male element(6) and the second body forms a female element(7) into which the male element is threaded for forming a threaded joint. The male element has an outer circumferential area(8) displaced in the axial direction in relation to thread units(4,5) and engaged with a corresponding inner circumferential area of the female element by a press-fit. One or both circumferential areas has an out-of-roundness to generate a press-fit along two or more pre-selected regions in the circumferential direction. |
