The clamping screw (1) is designed to be used as a grub-screw. It has a cylindrical threaded portion (4) of greater outside diameter than the flange (6) at the bottom. There is a hexagonal blind bore (3) at the top to accommodate an Allen key. There is a neck (5) at the bottom connecting the threaded portion to the flange with a gap (12). The threaded portion and flange have chamfered edges (13,15). A conical depression (14) extends into the bottom of the screw, making a thin portion allowing deformation of the flange.
