PURPOSE: A dual engagement-preventing device of a manual transmission is provided to facilitate the manufacturing process and assembling process, to prevent a heavy feeling in shifting or prevent shifting from being impossible, and to prevent malfunction caused by wear. CONSTITUTION: A dual engagement-preventing device of a manual transmission comprises shift rails(52,62,72) selectively and rectilinearly moving in shifting, and forming poppet grooves(53,63,73) to positions corresponding to neutral and drive ranges; poppet balls(54,64,74) inserted into one of the poppet grooves while vertically being moved along the outer peripheral surface of the shift rails in the rectilinear movement of the shift rails; poppet springs(56,66,76) fastening the poppet balls to the outer peripheral surface of the shift rails; and a poppet spring compression unit restraining the rectilinear movement of the shift rail by increasing the tension of the poppet springs if the shift rails are not selected in shifting.
