PURPOSE: Provided are a thawing unit for frozen meat and a thawing method by using high frequency and supplying freezing wind to thaw the frozen meat slowly. CONSTITUTION: A thawing unit for frozen meat is characterized by consisting of a chamber which is supplied with microwave and cold air, and has a space for the delivery of the microwave and cold air to an object to be thawed; magnetron which is installed inside the chamber and delivers microwave to the chamber through a partition made of synthetic resin; and a cold air inlet which is fitted to the one side of the chamber and provides cold air into the inside of the chamber.
