PURPOSE: An illuminating system using microwave is provided to allow the illuminating system to be easily installed in a narrow space by arranging, in line, the electric bulb, magnetron, high voltage generator and the cooling fan. CONSTITUTION: An illuminating system using microwave, comprises an electric bulb(50) for emitting light by the microwave; a resonator(60) for accommodating the electric bulb, and which allows the light emitted from the electric bulb to exit but is opaque to microwave radiation; a magnetron(20) mounted within a casing(10), and which generates microwave for allowing the electric bulb to emit light; a high voltage generator(30) mounted within the casing so as to supply a high voltage power to the magnetron; and a cooling fan assembly(80) mounted within the casing, and which cools interior of the casing. The casing includes an air inlet(11); an air passage(12) communicated to the air inlet, and which accommodates the magnetron, high voltage generator and the cooling fan assembly, and has a first air hole(14a) and a second air hole(15a); and an air outlet(13) having a side communicated to the second air hole of the air passage and the other side where an air outlet(13a) is formed.
