<p>An elongate projection (117) or probe extends from the injection unit (13) of an injection molding apparatus. A passage (123) extends throught the projection (117) in fluid communication with the injection unit (13). A generally cylindrical receptacle (121) if formed in a portion of the mold of the injection molding apparatus for receiving the projection (117) in generally concentric sliding relation. The receptacle (121) is in fluid communication with the mold cavity, wherein relative movement between the projection (117) and the receptacle (121) causes injection unit to be selectively in fluid communication with the mold. <IMAGE></p> |
